Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for stepdown IMCU, neurology, and medsurg patients with complex medical needs, including chronic vents and trachs
- Monitor patients and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond to rhythm changes and alarms promptly
- Administer medications using auto-dispensing systems; document accurately and ensure safety in medication administration
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to implement and adjust individualized care plans
- Assess pain, neuro status, oxygenation, and overall patient safety; assist with airway management as needed
- Document in the electronic health record and maintain clear, concise communication with the care team

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year IMCU experience plus 2+ years of recent medsurg and telemetry experience; neuro care, myocardial infarctions (MI), and tracheostomy care required
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; telemetry testing on day 1
- Experience with auto-medication dispensing systems or capable of learning system-specific workflows
- Comfort working in a high-acuity stepdown unit on a 12-hour night shift schedule
