Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER, located in Hermiston, OR, US. Start date: 07/13/2026. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments on arrival, including vital signs, history, and presenting symptoms; determine initial care priorities.
- Triage patients to prioritize high-acuity cases and initiate appropriate emergency interventions under physician orders.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, perform routine emergency procedures, wound care, and splinting as needed.
- Continuously monitor patient status, interpret monitoring data, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Document accurately in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charts; communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care; participate in rapid response or code blue situations as needed.
- Maintain infection control practices, promote patient safety, and support quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Supervise and coordinate care when assigned personnel are present, ensuring high standards of care and patient advocacy.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Oregon; ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
- Experience: None required; prior clinical experience preferred.
- Specialization/Setting: Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced ER within a Critical Access Hospital setting.
- Additional: CRASE training not required for this 13-week assignment; participation in required education for DNV programs as applicable.
- Physical & other: Must be able to perform essential duties, including prolonged standing and walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working long shifts; capable of handling a broad range of patient needs in emergency scenarios.
