Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures, including CT fluoroscopy as required by protocol
- Operate CT, X-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment; ensure image quality and patient safety
- Position patients appropriately, apply immobilization/shielding, and verify orders and patient identity
- Administer contrast materials per protocol and monitor for adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate documentation and radiology records; adhere to regulatory and safety standards
- Clean, calibrate, and maintain imaging equipment; follow infection control and radiation safety guidelines
Requirements
- California license: Radiologic Technologist (RT) licensed in CA; required
- ARRT certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist with CT certification (R.T.(R)(CT) or R.T.(R)(ARRT)); required
- Advanced CT certification: Required in OR and HI; CA: preferred
- Fluoroscopy license: Required in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred
- BLS: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required
- Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Experience: CT imaging, X-ray, and fluoroscopy experience preferred
- Additional: Ability to work night shifts and participate in a travel assignment as listed (3x12 nights)
