Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 06/29/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,246-$2,329 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift pattern is 2x3 days, with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. The position is in a hospital setting with ED responsibilities across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED for newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and disposition.
- Administer medications, start IVs, manage lines and IV fluids, and operate ED equipment per protocol.
- Respond to emergencies, support resuscitation and rapid interventions for stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
- Document care in the EPIC EMR, ensure accurate orders, charting, and communication with the multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to optimize patient flow, throughput, and discharge planning; provide patient and family education.
- Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control practices, and float to related ED units as needed.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC; TNCC must be in hand
- 2+ years of ED experience; some pediatric experience; travel experience required and documented
- EPIC EMR experience
- NURSYS verification showing an active NY license and all RN licenses
- RTO (time-off) requests must be included at the time of submission
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED setting and float as needed
