Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults in PCU/IMCU with a cardiac population, including monitoring for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain.
- Manage cardiac infusions and medications (Milrinone, Dobutamine, vasopressors) per physician orders; adjust as patient needs evolve.
- Operate and monitor telemetry systems; identify changes in patient status and escalate to the cardiology team as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, ensure patient safety, alleviate symptoms, and document nursing care and outcomes.
- Maintain patient flow and safety with a 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio; ensure accuracy of documentation and adherence to unit protocols.
- Adhere to BLS/ACLS requirements; participate in shift handoffs and ensure proper patient discharge planning when applicable. May also be assigned to telemetry beds in the same unit with lower acuity levels.

Requirements
- Active RN license for the appropriate state (Georgia) to practice as a registered nurse on assignment.
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU experience in a facility of similar size (28-bed PCU/IMCU) with a cardiac population.
- Documented PCU/IMCU experience in work history; ability to care for post-procedural and medically complex cardiac patients.
- Cardiac unit experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain presentations; capable of managing cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine) and vasopressors.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Ability to work in heterogenous unit settings, including telemetry beds with varying acuity levels; load all demographic information and provide badge photo as part of onboarding.
