Responsibilities
- Perform general, breast, and vascular ultrasound examinations with appropriate imaging techniques
- Operate and optimize ultrasound equipment; ensure high-quality, diagnostic images
- Accurately document patient data and exam details; maintain organized, confidential records
- Communicate findings clearly to the radiologist and the ordering physician to support quality patient care
- Coordinate patient scheduling and exam workflow; educate patients about procedures
- Participate in on-call responsibilities and float coverage as needed, with minimal supervision after orientation
Requirements
- Education: Completion of training at an approved ultrasound school
- Certifications: BLS certification (American Heart Association); ARDMS preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of varied ultrasound experience, including general, breast, and vascular modalities
- Licensure: Not specified in the posting; ability to work in a hospital setting as a traveling ultrasound technologist
- Other: Willingness to work in a hospital setting, with on-call duties and occasional float to another site
