Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including echocardiography, with attention to image quality and patient safety
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain relevant clinical history, and ensure comfort
- Operate ultrasound equipment, adjust settings, and apply Doppler as indicated to obtain diagnostic quality images
- Capture, label, and transmit studies to interpreting physicians; document findings in the patient record
- Maintain infection control practices, comply with safety standards, and perform routine equipment quality checks
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other team members; manage patient flow and participate in on-call coverage as assigned
Requirements
- ARDMS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Echo experience required; ECHO certification preferred
- Proof of negative TB test within 12 months prior to contract start
- Ability to work in a hospital setting
- Ultrasound experience including echocardiography and general imaging
