Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Lodi, California, starting 05/18/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Shifts are nights, 12 hours each (3x12), totaling 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated direct and indirect nursing care to a neonate or assigned group, using the nursing process and established standards.
- Monitor neonates for changes in status; perform frequent assessments and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case management, and other disciplines to coordinate orders, therapies, and transitions of care.
- Supervise and guide the activities of licensed practical nurses, aides, and other support staff on the unit.
- Document care plans, progress notes, and family education; ensure patient safety, infection control, and accurate vitals.
- Provide family-centered care and clear communication to families navigating the NICU experience.
Requirements
- Active California RN license or eligibility to practice in California
- Neonatal ICU experience or recent exposure to high-acuity neonatal care
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (3x12)
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a Level III/IV NICU setting
- Commitment to a 13-week travel assignment and the ability to travel
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; proficient in clinical documentation and prioritization
