Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (ER) – Travel assignment in Middlebury, Vermont, United States. Start date: 09/10/2026. Contract duration: 4 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,198–$2,277. Responsibilities
- Provide RN-level triage, assessment, and continuous monitoring for ED patients across the full age spectrum
- Perform IV access, administer medications and drips/infusions, and manage EKG monitoring
- Apply ESI triage, restraints as needed, and assist with procedural sedation and transports via ambulance
- Collaborate with ED team (including ED techs, charge nurse, and on-site physicians) to ensure efficient patient flow and safety
- Document care in the designated electronic medical record (Epic) and adhere to unit protocols and patient care plans
- Support telemetry, imaging, and telemetry-related decision-making; participate in telemedicine/telestroke activities as applicable
Requirements
- Active RN license on file at submission; ability to obtain Vermont licensure or eligible for VT licensure as required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC or proof of class with date applied must be in packet; NIHSS required prior to start)
- Experience: minimum 2 years of in-unit clinical experience; minimum 2 years in the ER setting; at least 1 travel assignment completed
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (non‑negotiable)
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotations as described, in a high-acuity ED environment
- Able to participate in a fast-paced, collaborative ED team with on-call management and transport needs
