Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Conduct rapid patient assessment in the ER, administer medications and treatments, and document care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans as needed.
- Prioritize patient safety, infection control, and quality outcomes in a high-acuity environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or eligibility)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; RN licensure in California
- BLS certification required
- ER nursing experience preferred; travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ER and deliver patient-centered care
