This assignment is in a hospital setting on a Medical-Surgical unit. Local candidates within roughly 75 miles may be eligible for local rate. Scrub color: Navy Blue. EMR: EPIC.

- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 12-hour blocks on a 2x3 pattern (6:30 pm–7:00 am)
- Start date: 10/26/2026
- Setting: Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital environment
- Local rate consideration for candidates within ~75 miles

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients during nightly shifts.
- Perform focused assessments, monitor patient status, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and document care per policy.
- Manage IV therapy, IV pumps, enteral feeding devices, and other unit-specific equipment; monitor for complications and safety concerns.
- Exhibit strong clinical collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; participate in care planning, discharge planning, and patient and family education.
- Document thoroughly in EPIC EMR; ensure accuracy of orders, progress notes, and handoffs.
- Float to other units as needed; adapt to unit demands while maintaining high standards of care.
- Adhere to infection control, pain management, and safety policies; respond to emergencies per protocol.

Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NURSYS verification with NY license and all active RN licenses).
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Minimum 2+ years of Med-Surgical experience; travel-crew experience required.
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Ability to float to other units as needed.
- Up-to-date resume including 2+ years in MS and documentation of travel experience.
- RTO (time off) must be requested at submission.
- Valid driver's license with address matching demographics.
- Graduation from an approved nursing program and current unrestricted RN licensure.
