Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in Utica, New York. Start on 05/04/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment within a hospital ER setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,352 to $2,438 per week, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: Nights on a 2x3 schedule (2:30 pm – 3:00 am). This is a travel temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED for adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, including triage, initial assessment, monitoring, and intervention.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage IVs, fluids, analgesia, and emergency medications; assist with airway management as needed.
- Respond to critical events with rapid assessment and participate in resuscitation efforts following ACLS protocols.
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and communicate changes to the ED team; collaborate with physicians, nurses, techs, case management, and social work.
- Document accurately in the EPIC EMR; ensure orders, results, education, and discharge planning are properly recorded.
- Manage patient flow and disposition within the ED, including admissions, transfers, and discharges; support pediatric and adult populations as required.
- Utilize department equipment and maintain readiness of supplies; adhere to infection control and medication safety standards.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys license verification; current NY licensure
- Minimum 2 years ED experience with some pediatric exposure
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- EPIC EMR experience
- Floating to related ED units may be required
- RTO (time off) must be requested at submission
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Local candidates within 75 miles eligible for local rate
