Responsibilities
- Perform the nursing process: assess care needs, develop and reassess care plans with an interdisciplinary team
- Provide and coordinate nursing care with the physician for individuals or groups of patients
- Teach patients and families; manage milieu and discharge/after-care planning
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment; document and report according to policies
- Serve as a clinical lead when needed: delegate tasks, monitor standards of practice, and promote staff development
- Ensure appropriate use of resources; participate in process improvement and, when required, scheduling and medication oversight or pre-authorizations
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years behavioral health experience
- Pediatric experience required
- Ability to work in an inpatient adolescent behavioral health setting
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure
