Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or a defined group of patients using the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to prioritize and manage patient care.
- Document care activities, respond to changes in patient status, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in California (CA RN license)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience in an acute care setting
- Graduation from an approved nursing education program (Diploma/Associate/Bachelor’s in Nursing)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced ER environment
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
