Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in the long-term care setting according to individualized care plans
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policy
- Monitor residents’ status, perform assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the supervising nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living and maintain resident safety, comfort, and dignity
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate care with nursing aides and other staff
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards and infection control practices
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (state-specific as applicable)
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to perform nursing duties in a long-term care environment and work 12-hour shifts
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and commit to a 7-week contract
