Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Registered Nurse – PACU in Burlington, Vermont, United States. This travel assignment starts May 4, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,545 to $2,679 per week with no guaranteed hours. The role follows a 5x8 rotating shift. This assignment is facilitated by Healthforce Healthcare LLC and requires a highly skilled PACU nurse able to support a large teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care in the PACU for high-acuity patients, monitoring airway, breathing, circulation, and stability
- Manage pain control, sedation, and readiness for transfer to the appropriate unit or discharge
- Monitor and interpret cardiac monitoring, art lines, and multiple titrating drips as ordered
- Document patient status and interventions in the Epic electronic medical record; communicate with surgeons and anesthesia teams
- Respond rapidly to clinical changes, participate in code/STAT responses, and coordinate with the care team
- May require float to other units, weekend coverage, and on-call duties as scheduled
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required
- Experience: minimum 3 years of clinical experience, with 2 years in PACU; must have critical care PACU skills
- Knowledge: high-acuity PACU care including art lines, titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring
- Setting: experience in a large teaching hospital preferred; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Licensure: current RN license appropriate for the practice state (state-specific licensure as applicable)
