Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for telemetry and medical-surgical patients, with monitoring and interpretation of telemetry rhythms.
- Administer and manage IV therapies and medications, including heparin drips, TPN, and PCA, per physician orders.
- Maintain patient safety and mobility, assist with ADLs, and provide education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement care plans; document accurately in EPIC; respond to evolving clinical changes and telemetry alarms.
- Maintain a clean, organized unit and ensure appropriate nursing-to-patient ratios (5:1 as referenced in notes).
- Float to other acute care units as needed to meet patient care needs and unit demands.

Requirements
- Active KS RN License or Compact RN License
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- 2+ years of recent Telemetry experience in a hospital setting (within the last 18 months)
- Background in General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, and Orthopedics; familiarity with cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones
- Proficiency with heparin drips, TPN, PCA, and telemetry rhythm interpretation
- Ability to work in a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and float to all acute care units
