Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration per physician orders and accurate documentation.
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes, and report variances to the supervising registered nurse.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote independence and comfort.
- Implement and adjust care plans, perform basic wound care, and follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate charting and communication with the health care team to coordinate care.
- Ensure resident safety, fall prevention, and adherence to facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Iowa (or eligible to practice in Iowa)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work the listed shift in a long-term care setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in documenting care
- Experience in a long-term care environment is preferred
