This travel assignment provides an opportunity to deliver coordinated cardiovascular ICU nursing care in a hospital setting staffed under the California Nurses Association representation.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated direct nursing care for CVICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and document patient progress accurately.
- Monitor patient status, manage invasive lines and hemodynamic devices, and respond to clinical changes with appropriate interventions.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
- Support discharge planning and provide education to patients and families as appropriate.
- Maintain infection control practices and ensure a safe, legal, and ethical care environment.
- This position is represented by the CNA, reflecting labor representation for the assignment.
Requirements
- Current California RN license (active)
- CVICU or critical care nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the 36-hour weekly schedule
- Education: diploma or degree from an accredited nursing program
- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment in the United States
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care setting
