Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) needed for a travel assignment in San Leandro, California. Start date: May 25, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,561-$1,656 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver OT-related services under supervision, implementing treatment plans and supporting residents’ rehabilitation goals.
- Conduct range-of-motion, therapeutic exercises, functional mobility work, and ADL training to promote independence.
- Assist with activity programs and cognitive/communication activities as part of individualized plans.
- Document progress notes accurately and maintain resident records in the charting system; monitor changes and report to the supervising OT.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including OT, PT, nursing, and social work to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, clean therapeutic environment; prepare equipment and ensure infection control and safety during sessions.
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential
- Eligible to work in the United States and able to participate in a travel assignment
- Ability to work a 5x8 day shift schedule (08:00–16:30)
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and adapt to a new care setting
