Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC), Wrangell, Alaska. Travel assignment starts 04/26/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,886 to $2,942 with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Responsibilities
- Coordinate a range of nursing care procedures for residents, considering conditions and treatment plans.
- Lead and collaborate with CNA/Tech, LPN, and ward staff; follow physician orders, standards of care, and departmental policies.
- Administer medications and therapeutics, document responses, and manage care plans in the electronic health record.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and update plans of care based on reassessment and interdisciplinary input.
- Provide resident and family teaching, participate in care conferences, and assist with discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety and quality care by adhering to infection control measures and nursing standards; support charge responsibilities as needed when leadership is not physically present.
Requirements
- Active Alaska Registered Nursing license
- Must provide two fingerprint cards upon acceptance
- Must have influenza vaccination
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating 3x12 schedule (some day shifts may be required)
- Competence to practice in a long-term care environment and to follow established policies, confidentiality, and patient safety standards
