Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapy Assistant services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Implement selected components of patient interventions (treatment) and gather data related to interventions provided.
- Modify interventions under direction of the Physical Therapist to progress patients or maintain safety and comfort.
- Assist patients across the lifespan (newborns to elderly) with movement and functional activities in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
- Document treatment provided, monitor patient response, and communicate progress to the supervising therapist and rehab team.
- Operate and maintain rehabilitation equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and support patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Contribute to care planning and participate in interdisciplinary rounds as needed.
- Maintain professional standards, including infection control and documentation compliance; ensure BLS requirements are current per facility policy.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board credential as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Certifications: Verification of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum two years of experience, with outpatient experience preferred; inpatient experience required; bi-lingual capabilities helpful.
- Eligibility: Ability to work in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings; able to perform essential PTA duties within a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Additional: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team; strong clinical documentation skills.
