Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Willits, CA travel assignment starting 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Weekly pay: $1,584–$1,612 per week. Work setting: Critical Access Hospital. This posting is valid through 11/01/2026.
This travel assignment places you in a general medical/surgical unit, delivering coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient group in alignment with the nursing process. You’ll collaborate with the care team to promote a safe, healing environment while supporting discharge planning and patient education. The role includes supervision of various levels of nursing staff and coordination with other disciplines as needed.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for a patient or patient group on the Med/Surg unit using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; develop and adjust care plans to achieve outcomes
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate appropriately
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, holistic care
- Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care and patient education
- Document care accurately and provide learning opportunities for patients and teammates
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice (CA) required
- BSN preferred
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in the field; acute care/Med/Surg experience preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required per policy
- Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting
- Cerner EMR experience may be noted as beneficial
