Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Registered Nurse - PACU in Saint Helena, California. This travel assignment starts on 08/24/2026 and runs for 8 weeks. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group in the PACU following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes; coordinate with the interprofessional team to promote safe recovery.
- Monitor vital signs, airway status, oxygenation, pain control, and hemodynamics; promptly recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Provide direct patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, and ensure safe handoffs to the next care setting.
- Delegate appropriately, supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels, and coordinate care with anesthesia, surgery, case management, and other disciplines.
- Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record and contribute to quality and safety initiatives within the unit.
- Maintain infection control practices, patient safety, and a healing environment while supporting learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) certification
- PALS (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred
- Epic electronic medical record experience is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced PACU setting and meet the day shift schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
