Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
HI-RN Medical - Days (05/04) is a travel Registered Nurse role in Med Surg, located in Hilo, Hawaii. The assignment begins 05/04/2026 and runs for about 15 weeks, with a Days shift in a hospital setting. After the first full week of orientation, you’re scheduled for around 36 hours per week. This position carries a weekly pay range of $1,847-$1,920, and there are no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct RN care to adults 18+, Med-Surg level, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and care planning
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and document in the EMR (Meditech)
- Manage routine and complex patients, including wound care (wound VAC), chest tubes, and Pyxis medication distribution
- Perform ongoing vitals, recognize变化 in patient condition, and respond to emergencies as part of the multidisciplinary team
- May float to Surgical, Pediatric, or Transitional Care units as needed
- Ensure safety, infection control, and accurate charting; participate in discharge planning and patient education
Requirements
- Hawaii RN license active and in good standing by start date
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg or higher level of care experience
- Ability to work Days; flexibility for varied shift lengths and days; ability to float to related units
- Unit characteristics: approximately 50-bed Medical unit; nurse-to-patient ratio around 1:5
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements; start-date acceptance depends on timely arrival
