Registered Nurse | Med Surg | travel assignment in Boston, MA. Start date 10/19/2026 for a 13-week contract. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for medical-surgical patients on a 38-bed unit, with patient ratios typically 1:4 or 1:5
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; respond promptly to rhythm changes
- Administer medications using auto med dispensing systems; document administration accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans, assist with discharge planning, and monitor patient status
- Utilize the electronic health record (EPIC experience is a plus) and complete timely, accurate charting
- Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and standard of care during the shift

Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 2+ years of acute care experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Experience with auto med dispensing systems
- Telemetry rhythm test on day 1
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating day/night coverage and weekends/holidays as scheduled
- Preferred: experience in surgical, neurological, or orthopedic settings
