Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations, including vascular studies, according to protocol and clinical indication
- Operate and optimize ultrasound equipment (including GE Logic E10 and Samsung WS80A) to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Document imaging findings in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate results to the supervising radiologist or clinician
- Assist with contrast injections when required for applicable studies and coordinate related patient care
- Maintain patient safety, comfortable positioning, and adherence to aseptic technique; ensure equipment cleanliness and routine maintenance
- Collaborate with the radiology team and other departments; support cross-coverage and float to related units as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage during assigned weekends and holidays per the facility’s rotation
Requirements
- RVT and ARDMS credentials (AB or OB) required; vascular ultrasound credentialing is necessary
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical ultrasound experience
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- CT and X-ray trained or capable to support radiology-related procedures
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department, including evenings and on-call rotations
- Must have reliable transportation; public transit is limited in this area
