Travel Registered Nurse – Cath Lab in Rochester, New York. Start date 04/27/2026 for a 13-week assignment working 12-hour shifts in an inpatient and outpatient cath lab setting within a hospital. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients, with both adult and pediatric patients across an upstate region. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for cath lab and EP procedures, including pre-procedure assessments and consent reconciliation
- Assist during complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures (e.g., TAVR, PCI, CTO) and support device and ablation-related workflows
- Monitor and manage hemodynamics, telemetry, and patient stabilization during procedures; administer moderate sedation as trained
- Implement sterile technique, document procedures, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for post-procedure care and holding area management
- Respond to intra-procedural changes and complications, assist with emergency protocols, and ensure patient safety and comfort
Requirements
- Active NY Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab (and EP Lab) experience
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certification
- Moderate Sedation trained
- Dysrhythmia-Telemetry proficiency
- Experience with advanced interventional and structural heart procedures (e.g., TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman) and related equipment
- In-depth knowledge of right and left heart hemodynamics, PCI/CTO, Pericardiocentesis, vascular interventions, and devices such as LVADs, AngioVac, FlowTriever
- Mechanical circulatory support experience (ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, LVAD)
- Structural heart experience with TAVR, Watchman, CardioMEMS, and related therapies
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity inpatient/outpatient cath lab and pre/post procedure holding areas
