Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic exams for diagnostic purposes following physician orders, including patient positioning, shielding, and dose optimization to ensure high-quality images.
- Operate a variety of radiology equipment (including Philips, Canon, Carestream systems; portable units) and fluoroscopy/C-arm capabilities as needed; maintain image quality and safety standards.
- Document and manage patient images and information in the EPIC Radiant system; ensure accurate order tagging, side, projection, and proper PACS handling.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other technologists; participate in float coverage between radiology areas as required; support weekend and holiday rotation.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices, infection control, patient comfort, and workflow efficiency during exams across newborn to elderly patients.
Requirements
- ARRT certification required; active ARRT registration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical radiology experience; 2 years of experience in the diagnostic radiologic tech specialty
- OR case experience, fluoroscopy, and C-arm experience required
- EPIC Radiant experience within the past 2 years is required
- Ability to work in a hospital radiology setting and to float between units as needed; travel assignment for Berlin, Vermont
