Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting. Location: Atlanta, GA, United States. Start date: 09/21/2026. Duration: 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,282–$2,420. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 4 days per week. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a progressive care unit, focusing on monitored, step-down level of care
- Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and clinical status; recognize and respond to changes promptly
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders; chart accurately
- Manage conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, and related complications
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, participate in rounds, and communicate care plans to patients and families
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and discharge planning; document assessments and interventions
- May float to intermediate care units as needed with a typical patient-to-nurse ratio around 1:4
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a medical step-down or similar unit
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and care coordination
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to adapt to unit float requirements
