Travel Registered Nurse Corrections Job

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to individuals within a corrections health setting, including assessment and triage of health concerns
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and carry out routine nursing treatments as ordered
- Monitor vital signs, recognize acute changes, and escalate to appropriate medical or custody staff as required
- Document care and interventions promptly and accurately in the patient health record
- Maintain infection control protocols, safety standards, and security procedures; coordinate with custody and health team to ensure safety
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in ongoing care planning and patient education
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
- Ability to work the night shift and rotate as needed
- Willingness to float to other areas within a secure corrections setting
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to adhere to security, safety, and confidentiality requirements in a high‑security environment
