Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) – Travel assignment in Burlington, VT. Start date 05/18/2026 for 6 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,930–$3,040 per week with 0.0 guaranteed hours. Shift is 4x10 rotating (10-hour day/evening shifts; weekends and call). Work setting: hospital-based operating room.

Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub for general OR cases across multiple subspecialties, including ortho, uro, oncology, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, dental, and trauma; experience with Da Vinci robotics is valued.
- Maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation, counts, drapes, and specimen handling; ensure patient positioning and safety throughout procedures.
- Assist surgical team and anesthesia providers, monitor intraoperative patient status, and communicate changes in patient condition as needed.
- Prepare and break down rooms between cases; confirm equipment readiness, maintain supply levels, and coordinate with sterile processing.
- Document intraoperative events and implants in the EMR (EPIC) and support accurate perioperative records.
- Collaborate across teams to support a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment; participate in weekends and on-call rotations as required.
Requirements
- Travel experience required; prior travel RN assignment preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience, including large trauma Level 1 cases.
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable).
- Ability to both circulate and scrub; please have both skills checklists available.
- Strong proficiency across OR subspecialties (orthopedics, urology, oncology, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, neuro, cardiovascular trauma, etc.).
- BLS certification.
- Active RN license (state of practice) or multi-state license as applicable; ability to practice in the assignment state.
- Flexible schedule to work Monday through Sunday, with rotating day/evening shifts and weekends as required.
- Reliable transportation is recommended for this assignment.
