Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting, focusing on comfort, safety, and quality of life.
- Perform comprehensive resident assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and document care accurately.
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; contribute to care coordination and daily rounds.
- Execute routine nursing procedures, wound care, injections, and proactive monitoring for adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Uphold infection control practices, safety protocols, falls prevention, and regulatory compliance; maintain clean, organized patient care areas.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clear care plans, timely updates, and smooth transitions between care activities.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas (or eligibility for licensure in Kansas)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- LTC/Skilled Nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) and every other weekend
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and meet facility requirements
