Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and functional participation for residents.
- Implement evidence-based OT interventions, monitor progress, and adjust goals as needed in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide hands-on therapy and train residents and caregivers in ADLs, mobility strategies, adaptive equipment, and safety techniques.
- Document assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and outcomes in the resident’s chart; ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in care planning and care conferences; contribute to discharge planning and transition guidance within the facility.
- Maintain equipment, ensure safety standards, and support quality improvement initiatives within the therapy program.
Requirements
- Ability to provide occupational therapy services in a long-term care setting
- Willingness to work Monday–Friday for the duration of the assignment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Commitment to accurate documentation and maintaining standards of care
