Responsibilities
- Provide routine nursing care to residents in the long-term care setting under supervision of the supervising RN.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration in the electronic health record following policy.
- Conduct daily assessments, monitor vitals, and recognize changes in resident condition; report to the supervising RN promptly.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and support mobility, safety, and personal care needs.
- Maintain accurate records, chart changes, and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to implement and adjust care plans and deliver quality resident-centered care.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in Iowa.
- Prior experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred.
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week, on a 12-hour shift schedule (06:00–18:00) three days per week.
- Ability to follow facility policies, complete documentation accurately, and work within a team.
- Ability to pass required credentialing and background checks for travel assignments.
