Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for ER patients, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and timely intervention
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments per physician orders
- Rapidly recognize changes in patient condition; participate in codes and resuscitation as needed
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to develop and implement care plans
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and safety measures
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (BLS/HS-BLS/RQI BLS accepted)
- Minimum 3 years of ER/unit specialty experience within the last 3 months
- BSN: preferred
- Acute care/ER experience: preferred
- Ability to work the listed shift in an ER/acute care setting
