Responsibilities
- Independently provide holistic, individualized nursing care on the OB unit using the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyne patients under the supervision of the charge nurse.
- Manage supplies and equipment; promote teamwork with physicians and unit staff; support safe, patient-centered care.
- Adhere to Standards of Nursing Practice; maintain patient confidentiality; respect advance directives and ADA guidelines.
- Demonstrate clinical competency, sound nursing judgment, and effective teaching for patients and families; complete unit and general orientation as required.
- Maintain current certifications (BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate/NRP, STABLE) and comply with vaccination requirements.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific as applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS; Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate (NRP) and STABLE certification
- Ability to work nights in an OB unit; strong written and verbal communication; competent computer skills
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
