Travel Registered Nurse Hospice Job
Registered Nurse – Hospice, travel assignment in Zanesville, Ohio. Start date 07/20/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule. This hospice role combines inpatient unit care and homecare visits in a clinic setting, with remote EPIC training and ongoing support from the staffing team.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to hospice inpatients and homecare clients per the established plan of care.
- Assess patients, manage symptoms, administer medications and therapies, and document patient responses.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, communicate with patients, families, and caregivers, and provide education on disease processes, symptom management, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system (EPIC) and participate in required remote EPIC training for hospice.
- Ensure patient safety, adhere to infection control practices, and follow hospice policies and procedures; coordinate with physicians, social workers, and case managers as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility with a night shift schedule and every-3rd-weekend requirements; no on-call duties are described for this assignment.
Requirements
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Hospice or palliative care experience
- EPIC EMR proficiency; remote training required for hospice
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance for homecare
- Ability to work night shifts and support both inpatient unit and homecare hospice settings
- Must be available to cover every 3rd weekend as part of the schedule
