Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing and ancillary personnel across levels, using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
- Ensure that all patients receive cost-effective, professional care that supports positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining patient safety.
- Assess patient experience and implement steps to improve quality of care and overall experience.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient workflow, staffing decisions, and care delivery on the unit.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Experience in labor and delivery with leadership or charge nurse responsibilities
- Ability to work a 3x12 night shift
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient safety focus
- BLS certification (or equivalent as required for the role)
- Eligibility for a travel temporary assignment and ability to work in a hospital-like setting
