Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging studies and radiographs as ordered, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate CT equipment and radiology systems; select appropriate protocols and adjust technical factors for patient size and clinical indication.
- Position patients correctly, manage immobilization devices, and monitor patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices; minimize exposure to patients and staff while maintaining image quality.
- Administer contrast media when indicated and within protocol; monitor for adverse reactions and follow facility protocols.
- Review completed images for technical adequacy; communicate preliminary findings with the interpreting radiologist as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the imaging information system; ensure proper labeling, workflow, and patient identification.
- Work independently and as part of the imaging team; participate in on-call scheduling and respond within the required time frame when on-call.
- Ensure timely completion of scans to support departmental scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Current radiologic technologist license or eligibility per state requirements.
- CT and radiography certifications required (per Job Notes).
- Experience performing CT and X-ray imaging preferred; ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to cover Day/Night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- On-call eligibility and ability to respond within 20 minutes of assignment location when on-call.
- Effective communication and patient care skills; ability to operate in a fast-paced imaging workflow.
