Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including pre-op prep, sterile technique, intraoperative instrumentation, and post-op handoff
- Scrub and circulate for assigned procedures; assist anesthesia as needed; manage equipment and supplies
- Monitor patient status, document intraoperative findings, and ensure patient safety and adherence to policies
- Collaborate with the surgical team, maintain communication, and ensure an efficient, safe workflow
- Participate in on-call responsibilities every 5–6 evenings through 7:00 a.m. and every 6th or 7th weekend; flexibly cover major holidays as required
- Complete required EMR documentation; EPIC experience is preferred
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license; NURSYS verification within the last week showing a current or conditional license and all licenses (past and present)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Flu vaccination during flu season
- 1+ year of OR experience in the specialty
- EMR experience preferred: EPIC
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- RTO (time off) must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation
- Submission requires an up-to-date resume with 1+ year OR experience, 2 recent manager/supervisor references in the specialty, a skills checklist, and documentation of travel experience
