Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and document outcomes per policy.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor responses and report changes promptly.
- Adhere to department policies, including float pool procedures; float pool nurses working a unit should clock in to the unit being worked.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS certification
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (3x12)
- Telemetry or acute care experience preferred
- U.S. work authorization and ability to travel for a temporary assignment
