Ultrasound Tech, Radiology — Deridder, LA. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 9 weeks. Weekly pay: 1,911–2,045 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36. Shift: four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with 1–2 nights of call per week. This travel assignment occurs in a hospital-based acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations as ordered, including abdominal and pelvic imaging, with vascular studies when available.
- Acquire high-quality diagnostic images, obtain accurate measurements, and ensure proper patient positioning and safety.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; document findings and prepare preliminary reports for radiologists.
- Communicate results to supervising physicians and clinical staff; collaborate with radiology team and other departments as needed.
- Participate in the on-call rotation (1–2 nights per week) and provide patient-oriented care with attention to privacy and comfort.
- Maintain adherence to department protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.
Requirements
- General ultrasound experience required
- Ultrasound registry preferred but not required
- Some vascular experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with the listed shift and on-call requirements
- Travel assignment with a residency restriction: The clinical site will not accept travel staff who permanently reside within 50 miles of the facility (no exceptions)
