Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Roswell, New Mexico. The Emergency Department (combined adult/pediatric) role starts 07/06/2026 for several weeks with a 4x12 Night shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,039 to $2,220 per week with no guaranteed hours. This assignment occurs in a hospital setting and requires RN licensure that meets NM/Compact eligibility prior to start.

Responsibilities
- Triage and initial assessment of ED patients; monitor and reassess to determine priority of care
- Provide care for diverse age groups (neonates through geriatrics) and support rapid clinical decision-making
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including IV vasopressors and blood products as ordered
- Ventilator care and airway management; maintain central and arterial lines as needed
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias; interpret ABGs; assist with trauma and emergency procedures (triage, procedural sedation, ortho/neuro trauma)
- Document patient care in Epic; collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy; ensure timely communication and accurate charting
Requirements
- Licensure: Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact-eligible license; must be obtained prior to start
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; CPI and TNCC listed as additional certifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years ER experience preferred; 1st-time travel accepted; previous charge experience required; patient-ratio experience around 4 patients
- Population: Ability to care for neonates through geriatrics in a combined adult/pediatric ED
- Orientation and scheduling: Onsite orientation (approximately 24 hours) with RN modules (~4–6 hours) completed onsite; self-scheduling in unit; pre-approved time off at submittal
- Travel requirements: Fingerprints/background check required for travel contracts; locals within 50 miles are not eligible
- Additional: Must be able to float to like units within ED scope as needed
