Responsibilities
- Assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in an acute care or SNF setting
- Conduct bedside evaluations, establish prognosis, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy sessions and document progress, goals, and discharge planning in patient records
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, PT/OT, dietitians, and physicians
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, strategies, and home programs; support safe swallow and communication strategies
- Ensure infection control, patient safety, and accurate charting in line with facility policies
Requirements
- Active license to practice Speech-Language Pathology (Massachusetts)
- Willingness to work in a skilled nursing facility environment
- Experience with adult language and swallowing disorders is preferred
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work within interdisciplinary teams
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment starting 11/23/2026 and delivering at least 36 hours per week
