Registered Nurse, Med Surg – Travel assignment in Hanford, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay $1,843–$1,977 per week with guaranteed 48 hours per week on a 3x12-hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) at a 173-bed short-term acute care hospital.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for an individual patient or defined group using the nursing process and established standards.
- Collect and analyze data, identify diagnoses and care issues, and develop a plan of care with prescribed interventions.
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; monitor patient status and progress.
- Delegate appropriately and supervise other nursing staff; collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic health record; support care transitions and quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor; BLS is required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- EPIC and Cerner experience: Required for this assignment/backfill.
- Additional: Ability to work a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM 12-hour shift in a fast-paced short-term acute care setting.
