Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for endoscopy patients before, during, and after procedures
- Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, and hemodynamics; assist with sedation as per protocol
- support sterile technique, infection control, and patient safety throughout procedures
- Administer medications per physician orders; document administration and patient response
- Collaborate with gastroenterology team to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
- Document in Epic EMR and ensure accurate peri-procedural records and room turnover
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Endoscopy nursing experience preferred; willingness to train in endoscopy procedures
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
- Education: graduate of an approved nursing program (RN)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced endoscopy setting and comply with facility policies
