Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Berlin, Vermont. Start date 04/27/2026 for 8 weeks. 3x12-hour night shifts. Weekly pay range $2,843–$2,975 per week with no guaranteed hours. Work in a hospital setting providing Labor & Delivery, newborn, postpartum and LDRP services within a Women and Children’s unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for laboring patients, including assessment, ongoing monitoring, and documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Support active labor with appropriate monitoring; 1:1 care during active labor or on Pitocin; manage couplets based on census (typically 2–3 newborns per group).
- Administer medications, initiate IV access, obtain labs, and coordinate with anesthesia for intrapartum analgesia; manage epidural catheter removal after delivery as needed.
- Deliver newborn care, including APGAR scoring, newborn medications, and routine procedures; participate in neonatal resuscitations if required.
- Document thoroughly and accurately; educate patients and families about postpartum and newborn care; collaborate with CNAs/Perinatal Techs and unit clerks as needed.
- Adapt to unit needs with occasional MS overflow; participate in on-call shifts as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with independence in LDRP care (required).
- LDRP experience is required.
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS and PALS (or PEARS) preferred; STABLE preferred.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Ability to work in a Labor & Delivery/postpartum setting and respond to obstetric emergencies; comfortable with call shifts (2 12-hour calls in a rolling 2 pay periods).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to adapt to fluctuating census and acuity.
