Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Lexington, Nebraska. Start date: 06/16/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,338 to $2,522. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: a small long-term care facility with 25 beds that requires a multifaceted RN to support L&D functions and related units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetric and neonatal patients, including L&D, antenatal, postpartum, and Well-Baby Nursery as within scope.
- Monitor labor progression, assess maternal-fetal status, administer medications per orders, and respond to obstetric emergencies per protocol.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner charting system; ensure timely handoffs and coordination across disciplines.
- Float to OB/L&D, Antenatal, Postpartum, Well-Baby Nursery, ED, and Med/Surg as needed in a small, multifaceted facility.
- Collaborate with the care team to plan and implement patient care while upholding safety, infection control, and quality standards.
- Adhere to the facility’s call-off policy: three shifts per 13-week contract without penalty or payment of guarantee; participate in orientation (Tuesdays) as scheduled.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Certifications: BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC or ENPC), and NRP
- Ability to float to OB/L&D, Antenatal, Postpartum, Well-Baby Nursery, ED, and Med/Surg as needed
- Flexible to work 3x12-hour Night shifts; orientation will be conducted on Tuesdays
- Proficiency with Cerner charting or ability to learn the system
