Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Cumming, Georgia. This 13-week, travel - temporary position starts May 27, 2026, with 36 guaranteed hours per week and a night-shift schedule (12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 12x3 pattern in a hospital ER. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapy, wound care, and other nursing treatments as ordered; manage pain relief and patient comfort
- Perform cardiac monitoring, interpret rhythm strips, assist with airway management, and respond to ED emergencies following ACLS protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, document in the electronic health record, and communicate patient status and needs during handoffs
- Prepare patients for procedures, assist with bedside procedures, and provide discharge instructions and referrals as appropriate
- Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control practices, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS, PALS, ACLS required
- Availability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 12x3 schedule
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ED environment and to collaborate with a diverse care team
- Travel-ready mindset and ability to adapt to new hospital protocols and electronic health record systems
